5M Now Supporting Access Services’ Southern Region

TSS Paratransit and Global Paratransit Inc. (GPI) announce that TSS Paratransit’s 5M Software Solution is now supporting reservations, scheduling, dispatching and delivery of ADA paratransit trips originating in LA’s Access Services’ Southern Region.  5M paratransit software was implemented In January 2019.

Why did GPI choose 5M?  Performance! 

A comparison of three key performance indicators evidenced how San Gabriel Transit (SGT), an Access Services’ provider using 5M, has been outperforming GPI over the last two years in key metrics such as productivity (despite a longer average trip length), on-time performance, and the percentage of trips with excessive on-board time (compared to transit travel times) due to shared rides.  Based on these differences and the attractive pricing of 5M, GPI’s decision to get 5M was pretty easy.

How Has GPI Performed with 5M? Great!

GPI’s productivity and service quality statistics for a 14-day periods in January 2019 with 5M were compared to the same statistics from the same two weeks in 2018.   With 5M, GPI’s productivity is 7% higher, on-time performance is over 2 percentage points higher, and the percentage of trips with excessive on-board travel time has decreased by 61%!

The conclusion: with 5M, for the same weeks in January, GPI was able to provide better service for the customers and improve productivity (despite fewer trips) at the same time.
